Our self-protection training provides people with easy to learn skills to defend against common ambush style attacks such as: punches, headlocks, chokes, bear-hugs, knife attacks, and gun threats. We thoroughly teach the techniques, so the movements are ingrained in the participants muscle memory, making it more practical in a stressful encounter. Our self-protection training will help employees develop the following skills.Â

Your Instructor
Dr. John Haymore
Dr. John Haymore is a full-time Assistant Professor of Management and provides consulting in the areas of workplace violence, occupational safety, and human resources. He earned his Ph.D. in HRD from the Soules College of Business at the University of Texas at Tyler, specializing in organization development and change management (ODC). He holds an MBA in Management as well as PHR, SHRM-CP, OSHA-30, and Lean Six Sigma certifications. Additionally, John practices HaganaH, a reality-based self-defense system focused on hand-to-hand, empty-hand versus knife, ground survival, and tactical weapons training. He is CPR and First On The Scene certified from the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians' - International Association of Fire Chiefs'.
